Southampton intend to deal in Chelsea fullback Ryan Bertrand in 2015.

The Mirror says Southampton will make Bertrand's loan permanent either in January or the summer.

The 25-year-old has impressed since arriving at St Mary's, forming a formidable full-back partnership with right-sided Nathaniel Clyne.

Saints last week gave talented England U20 left-back Matt Targett a five-year deal.
