Southampton will make a new bid for Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo in the coming days.
The Daily Express says Saints boss Ronald Koeman was disappointed to have an initial £11m bid rejected, but will now meet Sporting Lisbon's £13m valuation of the defender.
Koeman is acutely aware of his need to bolster his defensive options having seen Luke Shaw, Calum Chambers and Dejan Lovren leave St. Mary's this summer.
And can afford to do so after generating in excess of £90m from the exodus.
