Southampton are weighing up a double raid on Steven Gerrard's Rangers.

The Mirror says Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is lining up a double raid on Rangers as he looks to strengthen his squad this summer.

Defender James Tavernier and midfielder Scott Arfield are said to be interesting the south coast club having both impressed in the Scottish Premier League this season.

Rangers boss Gerrard is likely to want to keep both players, however, as they attempt to mount a title challenge next season.
