Southampton are chasing QPR striker Charlie Austin.
The Mirror says Austin is set to move on this summer - whether they beat the drop or not.
Newcastle United have targeted the 25-year-old after his 17 goals for the struggling west London side this season.
Southampton are also in the hunt for the £10million-rated marksman as boss Ronald Koeman is disappointed by the lack of goals from his frontline as the Saints push for the top four.
