Southampton are joining the battle for Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker.
Crystal Palace and QPR have both met the £8 million buyout clause in Caulker's Bluebirds deal in the past week.
The Sun says Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is now eyeing a last-ditch move for Caulker.
The Dutchman sees the England cap as a replacement for Dejan Lovren, who is expected to join Liverpool in a £20 million-plus deal in the coming days.
For his part, Caulker is understood to favour moving to Harry Redknapp's QPR, having played for him at Tottenham.
