Southampton legend Jason Dodd says Calum Chambers is no gamble for Arsenal.

Dodd helped Chambers come through at Saints.

"I saw Arsene Wenger in the paper saying it might be a little bit of a gamble," Dodd told talkSPORT.

"I don't see it as a gamble. He's a very good player. He played 18 times last season and played fantastically well.

"The money goes up because he's English, but he's proven in those games that he is a very good player."
