Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier believes Danny Ings should be in the England squad.
The striker has been in prolific form for Ralph Hasenhuttl's team in the past season.
As manager Gareth Southgate picks his England squad for UEFA Nations League matches, Le Tissier hopes Ings makes the cut.
He told the Run of Play podcast: "I see absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be in the England squad. He's just had 22 goals in a Premier League season.
"The only other Englishman that beat him (Jamie Vardy) is actually not making himself available for England, so that puts him in a pretty strong position in my eyes.
"Obviously there is a lot of talent that Gareth has got to choose from but, given the season he's had, I think it would be a tragedy or travesty if he wasn't in the next England squad."
