Premier League new boys Southampton have reportedly had an offer for Burnley's Jay Rodriguez accepted.

The Saints have offered the 22-year old a path into England's top flight by tabling a £7million bid which the Clarets are open to.

Nigel Adkins made a bid for Rodriguez about a year ago which was rejected but it appears as though he may now get his man although the player has not yet agreed personal terms with the St Mary's outfit.
