Southampton are closing in on Inter Milan winger Ezequiel Schelotto.
The Saints are in talks with the Nerazzurri regarding a loan deal for the 25-year old Argentina-born once-capped Italy international.
Schelotto's agent Bruno Carpeggiani confirmed that Southampton were interested in Schelotto and hinted that a deal could soon be forthcoming.
"The situation with Southampton is active and we are waiting for the deal to go ahead," he said.
Schelotto joined Inter from Atalanta in January 2013 and has since made 13 appearances for the Nerazzurri in between loan spells at Sassuolo and Parma.
