Southampton fullback Kyle Walker-Peters says the club's instability contributed to their relegation.
Saints had three managers this season and had relegation confirmed after defeat to Fulham on Saturday.
Walker-Peters lamented: "It hasn't helped. To be 100 percent honest, it's been really hard for everyone.
"When I arrived at the club, the squad was narrower and more cohesive, and sometimes when there is a lot of change, it makes things difficult.
"On the field, we have not been good enough. We haven't done our job well enough, and ultimately that's why we're relegated."
