Southampton are eyeing Lazio striker Mauro Zarate.
The former Birmingham City forward has fallen out with Lazio management and is available from the Rome club this month.
Corriere dello Sport says after their success with former Bologna winger Gaston Ramirez, Saints are now weighing up a move for Zarate.
Lazio are demanding at least £15 million for the striker.
