Southampton are emerging as shock favourites to land Stromsgodset teen Martin Odegaard. The Daily Star says Odegaard favours a move to Southampton despite interest from Europe's top clubs.

Odegaard has been to visit Arsenal, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid's facilities in recent weeks and he is set to tour Manchester City's academy soon.

However, fresh reports in Norway suggest Odegaard is most interested in a switch to Ronald Koeman's high-flying Saints due to their reputation for developing young footballers.
