Jose Fonte is being linked with a possible summer move to Liverpool.

The Daily Mirror suggests that the Reds are showing significant interest in the Southampton captain who has been at St Mary's since 2010.

It is believed that Liverpool are looking to reunite Fonte with Dejan Lovren, who they lured up north from the south coast last summer, in a bid to get the best out of their £20million signing.

Portuguese centre-back Fonte, 31, replaced Reds midfielder Adam Lallana as skipper prior to the start of the season. He is contracted with the Saints until 2017.
