Southampton boss Ronald Koeman would love to bring Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard to St Mary's. Gerrard announced yesterday he would not be renewing his current deal, which expires in June.
"It's maybe a little bit strange to see Steven Gerrard out of the club Liverpool and if he likes to continue he can come," said Koeman.
When asked if he was joking, the Saints boss grinned and said: "I'm serious. If he likes to continue football in England he can come."
On whether he would get into Koeman's side right now, the Dutchman added: "Yes, of course, for Steven Gerrard you have always a position for him."
