Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is chasing Manchester City striker John Guidetti.

The Daily Star says Guidetti, 22, played under Holland legend Koeman at Feyenoord, scoring 20 goals in just 23 league games..

The Swede has spent the first half of the season on loan at Celtic and the Scottish giants have agreed a £2m fee to make the deal permanent..

But Guidetti, who has netted 11 times in 18 appearances for Ronny Deila's side, has been reluctant to commit to a move north of the body, leaving the door open for Koeman.
