Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed interest in Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo.tribalfootball.com understands Saints have had two offers for Rojo in the past fortnight turned down by Sporting.
A third bid could be lodged over the weekend.
Asked if the club were interested in Rojo, Koeman replied: "Yes."
When asked what stage it was at he added: "It's more questions for the chairman and Les Reed."
