Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is expecting an improved season from Adam Armstrong.
The English striker scored just twice in 28 appearances during his debut campaign for Southampton.
Armstrong, 25, has scored in preseason against Monaco and RB Leipzig.
Speaking about the frontman to the Daily Echo, Hasenhuttl said: "I think this is the most important season because when you are coming the first year it is always tough.
"This season he should get more chances to play and chances to score."
