Former NPL powerhouse South Melbourne have claimed an eighth Dockerty Cup thanks to a 3-0 win over rivals Oakleigh Cannons on Sunday.

In rainy conditions, two goals from Milos Lujic and another to Leigh Minopoulos was enough to secure the knockout cup, which incorporates over 600 Victorian NPL and state league sides.

The victory came following Hellas' defeat to Palm Beach Sharks in the FFA Cup last Wednesday.
