Liverpool academy is boasting several sons of guns.

Liverpool academy chief Frank McParland admits Jamie Carragher is a regular working with the juniors.

"Jamie Carragher is here three times a week with his boy James who is in the under-9s," McParland told the Liverpool Echo.

"Steven Gerrard often comes down for games and shows a big interest in what's going on here.

"Often Stevie or Carra will speak to a boy when they first sign for us about the club they're joining. That's a great thing for them to do.

"Fabio Aurelio's son trains here and Charlie Adam has also been down."
