Son, Postecoglou praise Spurs goalscorer Sarr after victory over Man Utd

Tottenham captain Heung-min Son hailed the performance of Pape Sarr in Saturday's win against Manchester United.

Sarr struck in their impressive 2-0 win.

Son later said: "He's a little Sonny! When I look at him, he just reminds me of what I was like when I joined the Spurs. He's always laughing with good energy. He always brings the positive energy, he's a happy guy and that's why I'm always happy to be around him. Everyone was so happy for him that he scored his first goal for Spurs and in the Premier League. He totally deserved it."

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou added: “He's got unbelievable energy, but there is also quality there. He just works so hard, but his ability to take the ball on the run and move smoothly through the lines... and he's a goal threat because he gets into the box.

“I thought he was outstanding and when you think that he's 20, Destiny is 20, Mick van de Ven is 22, Pedro is 23, Deki's 23, and, to be fair, the experienced players like Sonny and Madders were brilliant guiding them through. That's the exciting thing, they are such a young group, and you know there is growth there. I better not stuff it up, mate!"
