The son of Everton hero Tim Cahill has signed for the Blues academy.

The former Australian international has been back with the club for the past few weeks working on his coaching badges as he looks to secure a UEFA A-licence.

The 39-year-old announced his retirement from football in March having finished his career in the Indian Super League, seven years after leaving Everton.

His eight seasons and 68 goals in royal blue made him an icon - and now his son could be looking to follow in his footsteps.
