Son and Chadli show Tottenham do not necessarily need new striker - Pochettino

Son Heung-min and Nacer Chadli were both on target as Tottenham claimed a 2-0 win over Leicester City in the third round replay of FA Cup at King Power Stadium on Wednesday night.

Following the game, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino claimed that the performances from the duo prove that the club doesn't necessarily need a striker this month to take the burden off Harry Kane.

He said: "We have one of the best strikers in the world [Kane]. If we get another offensive player, we need to bring the right one, who will fight for us.

"Because if you take the wrong decision, maybe you break the balance in the squad and changing room.

"We are proud of the changing room that we have built and their performances and how they believe in how they play.

"Games like this show me that we are going the right way and have taken the right decisions in the past.

"I can understand that when you don't score people can be worried, but we have enough quality.

"This was a good opportunity for Nacer and Son to show that they can score so we are very pleased.

"We can improve, yes, and if we find the right player, then OK, but if not, I am very happy with the squad that we have."
