Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado apologised to fans after missing a spotkick in their 4-1 defeat at Manchester City. The Spaniard had the opportunity to level the score at 2-2 from the spot, having won the penalty himself after Martin Demichelis was controversially adjudged to have brought him down inside the City penalty area.
However, his tame effort was comfortably saved by an in-form Joe Hart and City soon re-established their two goal advantage.
Soldado posted on Instagram: "Sad match in which we had our opportunities including my penalty. I'm sorry and I'll keep working hard to help the team with my goals"
