Socceroos welcome back Sainsbury, Juric and Troisi as Palace midfielder Jedinak omitted

Ange Postecoglou has named Asian Cup-winning trio Trent Sainsbury, Tomi Juric and James Troisi in Australia's 23-man squad for next month's World Cup Qualifier against Jordan.

Sainsbury (PEC Zwolle), Juric (Roda JC) and Asian Cup final hero Troisi (Al-Ittihad) all return to the Socceroos' fold after injury ruled them out of the last round of qualifying matches against Bangladesh and Tajikistan.

"It is a sign of the depth we are creating that we bring these three guys back into the squad for the Jordan game," Postecoglou said.

"All three played a major part in our Asian Cup success and after finding fitness and regular club football they are ready to come back in."

Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak was not included in the squad to face Jordan in Amman on October 8 due to a combination of injury and a lack of first team action at Premier League club Crystal Palace.

Bradford City defender James Meredith, Leyton Orient goalkeeper Alex Cisak and former Brisbane Roar midfielder Luke Brattan are the only uncapped players named in the squad.
