Snodin urges Mirallas to remain with Everton

Former Everton star Ian Snodin has urged Kevin Mirallas to stay put at Goodison Park next season.

Mirallas has not yet agreed an extension with his current deal at the club set to expire at the end of next season and there has been a lot of speculation that the Belgian international will be leaving Goodison Park during the upcoming summer with Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid said to be interested in his services.

Everton fans would most certainly not want to lose a key player such as Mirallas and former star Snodin has echoed this sentiment by urging the 27-year old to stay put at Merseyside.

Snodin wrote in the Liverpool Echo: 'There is a lot of speculation over his future but he is a top quality player and one the Blues will want to keep.

'Even though I am a club ambassador, I'm not privy to the inner goings on of the squad - and that's the way it should be - so I don't know what Kevin, his agent, the manager and chairman are thinking at this time. But this summer we will find out if Kevin will remain in an Everton shirt next season - let's hope he does.'
