Sneijder shocked by Chelsea goalscorer Ziyech injury: I really feel sorry for him

Former Holland star Wesley Sneijder admits he was shocked by the injury suffered by Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech last night.

Ziyech scored in the Super Cup final against Villarreal, but was forced out of the game due to serious injury.

After Chelsea's successful penalty shootout, Sneijder commented: "I think his arm stays behind Juan Foyth.

“Whether it's a dislocated shoulder or a collarbone injury, I don't know. But it is in any case very bad, because he does not just go out. You also immediately see that his arm is hanging. I really feel sorry for him. It's an unfortunate moment."

“It's just a shame," Sneijder continues. “He was so important in Chelsea's preseason. You see it again now. It doesn't hit him quite right, but he was there at the right time. This is really very unfortunate."
