Galatasaray are reluctant to lose Wesley Sneijder in January.
The Mirror says Sneijder's dream of moving to the Premier League is being blocked by Galatasaray.
The Dutch midfielder's agent was in England last week testing the market for the skilful 30-year-old's next move.
Guido Albers, who also represents Southampton boss Ronald Koeman, spent a day with the south coast club before heading north.
Albers then met Manchester City football administrator Brian Marwood and Claudio Reyna, the director of football for the Blues' satellite club New York City.
But the Turkish club have now pledged to meet all Sneijder's contractual obligations to ensure he stays with them.
