Smolov agent talks up West Ham move

The agent of Fedor Smolov is hoping that his client can seal a move to West Ham United when the transfer window opens.

Smolov, who plays for Krasnodar and is a key attacker for Russia, is being linked with a move to the east London club in the summer.

West Ham were linked with the player in January, but manager David Moyes hesitated on pulling the triger.

Per Lenta.Ru, as translated by Sport Witness, Smolov's agent Roman Oreschuk went on Twitter and had the following to say about his client:

"Fedor, please do not pay attention to these stupid critics. I have already told you, you need to go to Europe. I think you'll play better in Europe, believe me."

Oreschuk is referring to an incident where Smolov had a disagreement with some of his club's own fans at the weekend.
