Stevie Lovell opened the scoring with a header to give the Dons a deserved lead, but goals from Christian Dailly, Charlie Adam and Kris Boyd sealed the three points for the home side.

"Aberdeen's goal deflated us a little and I just felt we had to make a little bit of a change, as we were obviously a little bit affected.

"I thought we played well in the second half of the game, we created a number of opportunities - didn't take them all - but I'm delighted to win the game," added Smith.
