Smith: Struggling Dundee finding their feet

Dundee boss Barry Smith says his bottom of the table side is gaining in confidence and believes the key to avoiding relegation is to name a settled side. The Dark Blues are four points adrift at the base of the table but Smith believes they have turned the corner.

He told the Dundee Courier: ''With the past two performances and the second half of the game at Aberdeen, we can approach it with a wee bit of confidence as we are getting some consistency.

''Last Saturday was the first time this season we have been able to select the same team two weeks in a row.

''I had harped on about having to change my back four every week so that's the first time we have had the same back four two weeks in a row, never mind the same team.

''That helps a lot as you get consistency with players being alongside one another.''
