Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell says the return to Emile Smith Rowe will be like a new January signing.

Smith Rowe underwent groin surgery earlier in the campaign and will join the squad on the upcoming warm-weather training camp in Dubai as he targets a return to full training.

"We're going to need a squad, we're going to need it stronger and we're going to need Smith Rowe," he told Highbury Squad.

"Listen, he's been training, we're going to need Smith Rowe, he's going to be like a new signing, we're going to need him back and to be ready to go.

"He is going to have a very prominent role to play."
