League of Ireland outfit Sligo Rovers have not given up hope of re-signing promising striker Eoin Doyle.
The 23-year olds contract with Rovers has now expired and he is free to depart The Showgrounds this winter but club spokesman Keith O'Dwyer has his fingers crossed about a potential new deal amidst heavy interest from Hibernian and new curiosity from Aberdeen.
"We're not 100 per cent sure he is going to sign and we would not give up hope that we can sign him for next year because he is a huge player for us.
"However, as Eoin is not a contracted player, he is entitled to seek fresh moves.
"Pat knows our manager Paul Cook very well so I would imagine he will have called him about this.""(Hibs boss) Pat Fenlon has come in for him and it's definitely something Eoin is interested in," O'Dwyer told the Daily Record.
