Josip Simunic says Croatia's players are determined to win Euro2008 for injured Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva.
"Eduardo stays in contact with the squad. He rings the players and gives them best regards. It's always nice to hear from him.
"Beating England showed we were a good team but when Eduardo got injured people weren't so sure.
"We played for him and the whole of Croatia. It's a beautiful feeling to beat Germany.
"The win against Germany showed we have a lot of heart and a lot of character and that's one of the stronger points of our team. Getting to the quarter-finals was the least we wanted to do.
"But it's too early to speak about winning the tournament."
