Atletico Madrid have moved to open talks with Diego Simeone over a new deal.
The Argentine's current deal expires in 2016.
El Confidencial says the Rojiblancos are negotiating a mega-contract to keep El Cholo in the manager's post until June 2022.
Natalia Simeone, El Cholo's sister and who handles his contractual affairs, arrived in the capital 10 days ago to open talks with Atlético directors about a proposed contract extension.
