Stoke City signing Steve Sidwell is excited to be playing for the Brit's fans.
Games against Stoke have always figured heavily in Sidwell's career.
"The Stoke fixtures have always stood out for me," he revealed to The Sentinel. "I scored one of my first professional goals against Stoke at 17 for Brentford at Griffin Park.
"I also played for Brentford against Stoke in the play-off final at the Millennium Stadium (2002) when Stoke won.
"So it probably is destiny to finally come and join the club."
