Antoine Sibierski says Wigan Athletic teammate Titus Bramble is proving to be one the league's top defenders.
Sibierski told the Wigan Evening Post: "On their day, Titus and Emmerson are two of the best centre-backs in England.
"Sure, John Terry and Rio Ferdinand are the best, but when these two play together they always impress me. Titus is a better player than he was at Newcastle. He is more mature now, more experienced, and he doesn't make the mistakes he was making when he was a Newcastle player.
"Titus concentrates very hard for 90 minutes, and that is why he has been one of the best players for Wigan this season. I think that playing with more confidence has made a difference because he's always had the quality. Working under Steve Bruce has helped Titus.
"The gaffer was a centre-half himself who won so many trophies at Manchester United. It's great for Titus to have him to learn from, and being a clever man, he's picked things up to become a better player."
