Shrewsbury swoop for Sunderland youngster Mandron

League Two Shrewsbury Town have signed French youngster Mikael Mandron from Sunderland on a youth loan until the end of the season. The 20 year old played twice in the Premier League as a substitute in 2012-13, when he also netted 12 goals in 13 games for Sunderland's Under-18 team.

Town boss Micky Mellon said: "Mikael is a lad that I know very well and one that I have seen play a lot. He is very quick. We're really pleased that Sunderland have trusted us with a player they have very high hopes for."
