Audio recordings of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez slamming club legends Raul and Iker Casillas have emerged.

The sound bites were transcribed and published by El Confidencial, with the audio recording being made in 2006.

On Casillas, Florentino stated: “He's not the Real Madrid goalkeeper, what do you want me to tell you? He is not. He never was. It was the biggest mistake we made. What happens is that the ... (recording is interrupted) they like him, they want to talk to him ... I don't know.

"They defend him so much ... But, hey, this is one of the big scams."

He then turned to Raul, continuing: "The second is Raúl. The two big scams of Real Madrid are first Raúl and then Casillas.
