Tim Sherwood priced himself out of the running for the QPR job, it has been revealed.
The former Tottenham manager held talks with QPR chairman Tony Fernandes last week.
The Daily Star says Sherwood wanted a three-year deal worth £6m in total, whereas Fernandes was only ready to pay £1m a year plus bonuses.
He was widely expected to get the job after close friends Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand were handed the reins on a temporary basis after Harry Redknapp quit.
