Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood is looking to keep Tom Cleverley at the club.

The 25-year old midfielder's season-long loan from Manchester United is coming to a close but it has been reported that Sherwood is set to offer him a permanent contract.

Cleverley's United deal expires in the summer, making him available as a free agent, and The Guardian suggests that he may be willing to hold 'formal talks' with the West Midlands club.
