Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood insists he will refrain from spending so much time looking at the Premier League table.
Villa defeated Everton 3-2 at home on Saturday to move up to 14th position on the table, just two points above the drop zone.
Sherwood admits he has been trying to work out all the different scenarios in a bid to stave off relegation but says he simply has to focus on his own team for the remaining three fixtures of the season.
"I have driven myself mad since I have been at the club looking at tables and permutations, other peoples' fixtures," he said.
"I have made a pact that I won't do that. It is a tough enough job trying to look at what we are doing at Villa, never mind looking at everyone else's results. You can't look at it. It drives you mad."
Villa, who sit equal on points with Newcastle United, next host ninth-place West Ham United at Villa Park next Saturday.
