Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood faces a battle to keep hold of Christian Benteke.

The Mail on Sunday says Sherwood last week insisted Barclays Player of the Month Christian Benteke will be going nowhere this summer.

But he is set to face his first test of dealing with the club owner Randy Lerner over the in-form striker.

For Sherwood to have any sort of transfer budget this summer then funds will have to be generated from the current squad.
