Jonjo Shelvey insists the current Newcastle United squad is good enough for Europe.

Shelvey believes the current squad is good enough to play for the European places in the Premier League.

"I think we have the ability for it. There is definitely quality in the dressing room. Each year, the teams add players to their squad. I think our squad is good enough to reach it (the European places)," Shelvey tells Talksport.

"I want to keep this club as high up in the table as possible. I will enjoy my football in my last three-four years at the top level.

"I will enjoy my time here."
