Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey feels his loan move to Blackpool will help him catch the eye of manager Kenny Dalglish.
Shelvey, 19, has not started a Premier League game for Liverpool since his £1.7million move from Charlton in May 2010.
The midfielder said: "Moving from a big fish in a small pond to a small fish in a big pond knocked me back a bit.
"I wasn't playing every week and I wasn't getting chances, so I felt I had a little bit to prove.
"I knew something could be coming up because I had been to see Kenny Dalglish and asked if I could go out on loan.
"When I heard Blackpool were interested, I was keen. I spoke to Charlie Adam and he said to come here."
