Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey turned in a Man-of-the-Match performance in the 2-0 win against Stoke City and manager Garry Monk is glad that the midfielder has taken criticism on board.
Monk was highly critical of the 23-year old in December following the Boxing Day win over Aston Villa when he described him as 'lazy'.
Both goals in the 2-0 win over the Potters on Saturday were created by the former Liverpool midfielder prompting the following reaction from his boss.
Monk said: "He has taken the criticism on board and you can see that. He has worked really hard at his fitness.
"He is more consistent, there is competition for places and he knows he has to perform every game, not once in every three or four."
