Released Everton midfielder Dennis Adeniran is a target for Sheffield Wednesday.

The Sheffield Star says the 22-year-old became a target for the Owls after the decision was made that he would be moving on from Everton when his contract at Goodison Park expired.

It was thought that, in all likelihood, the young midfielder would be on his way back into the Championship following some good performances in the second tier with Wycombe Wanderers last season, but the Darren Moore factor seems to be giving the Owls a fighting chance.

Adeniran played 22 games for Wycombe last season whilst on loan from the Toffees.

He comes off contract this week at Goodison Park.
