Scunthorpe United have been forced to drop their pursuit of FC Oss striker Kevin van Veen.

Van Veen is prepared to leave FC Oss next month and was excited about joining Scunthorpe.

But the Eerste Divisie club refuse to drop their €375,000 asking price and Van Veen's former coach, Hans Kraay Jr, revealed the player is "upset".

"But I also understand that Oss does not want to just let him leave."

Sheffield United and Doncaster Rovers are also in contact with FC Oss for Van Veen.
