Sheffield United have signed Wales international forward David Cotterill on loan from Wigan Athletic until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old will go straight into Bryan Robson's Blades squad for Saturday's home clash against Scunthorpe in the Championship.

The former Bristol City man, signed by former Latics manager Paul Jewell for £2million in the summer of 2006, has made only four appearances for the Premier League side this season.
