Reading defender John Halls has joined Sheffield United on loan until 12th April, and could make his debut against Norwich City at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Blades manager Kevin Blackwell said, "Due to our injury problems we are delighted to have brought John Halls into the club.

"Hopefully he will have a good stay with us for a month and put himself in the shop window."

The former Stoke City star has struggled to establish a first team place with the Royals and has already spent loan spells at Preston and Crystal Palace this season.
