Sheffield United are hoping to hijack Leroy Fer's move to Feyenoord.
The Dutchman has left Swansea City and is in talks with the Rotterdam club.
The Sunsays Blades boss Chris Wilder wants to fly Fer into England for talks to try and persuade him to make a return to the Premier League.
Fer has had top-flight experience with the Swans, QPR and Norwich City.
He made his breakthrough at Feyenoord as a youngster, raking up 121 first-team appearances.
